It's a shame Helen isn't in this photo! I love the brooding good looks of the boys! I am curious why the children didn't smile too often in these photos, although the process might have been not unlike photos taken by Mac through the years: "Okay, boys, line up! Okay, smile." Fidget...fidget with the camera until the boys began to grimace and then Mac snapped the photo! This photo may have involved a tripod and much effort. Any thoughts on how they ended up at the beach in suits? A Sunday afternoon drive after dinner?
